Since Conversion is only supported on Windows, the shared data folders will need to be mounted as Windows shares and provide the proper access for reading and writing from these shares. Mounting the NFS share on a Windows server The HCL Docs Conversion server needs access to the File Viewer and HCL Docs shared storage to be able to store the document data after converting from the native file types.File Viewer and Conversion as well as HCL Docs and Conversion need to both access shared storage directories for documents and configuration information. Configuring the NFS Shares HCL Docs can utilize a NFS, CIFS or a dedicated storage file server to share data between the different HCL Docs components.Procedures for both the NFS and CIFS cases are provided - complete the tasks appropriate to your deployment. Configuring HCL Docs shared storage The shared storage for the Editor Server and Document Format Conversion Server uses NFSv3 or CIFS, and the shared storage for the Viewer Server and Document Format Conversion Server uses either NFSv3 or CIFS.These tasks include installing the system prerequisites and configuring both Windows™ and Linux™ operating systems.
